Warrant Says Woman "Slapped" Minneapolis Officers' Patrol Car Before Fatal Damond Shooting

July 25, 2017  |

Before Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor fatally shot Justine Damond, a woman had approached the back of the patrol car and "slapped" it, according to a court document filed Monday.

A search warrant was filed by Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension investigators to look at the area where the shooting happened and gather evidence as part of the investigation.

"Upon police arrival, a female 'slaps' the back of the patrol squad," according to the search warrant. "After that, it is unknown to BCA agents what exactly happened, but the female became deceased in the alley."

But the document doesn't explicitly say it was Damond who slapped the back of the police cruiser. It also doesn't say whether that was the loud noise that Noor's partner, Matthew Harrity, said he heard and was startled by before the shooting.

A BCA spokesperson declined to provide additional details to Minnesota Public Radio, citing the ongoing investigation.

Please, everyone, please wait until all the facts are in and the investigation concludes. In the meantime, pray for the deceased woman and the two officers involved.

Oh, so that's why Noor capped her: she slapped the squad car. Where did he get his use of force training????

The longer this investigation goes on and the more and more bullshit comes out! The Officer refusing to be interviewed it appears to me it's an attempt to show that this shooting was justified. This officer should be arrested for the shooting! If he or any other officer thought it was justified they should have spoken up along time ago!!!!

Something just aint right. Any LEO knows let the investigation run it's course. But the longer the Officer ducks, bobs and weaves it don't look good at all!
