NY Bombing Suspect Captured After Shootout, Officer Wounded

September 19, 2016  |

The man believed to be responsible for the explosion in Manhattan on Saturday night and an earlier bombing in New Jersey, Ahmad Khan Rahami, was taken into custody on Monday after he was wounded in a gun battle with police, according to law enforcement officials.

The dramatic shootout on a rain soaked street in Linden, NJ, came after the police issued a cellphone alert to millions of residents in the area telling them to be on the lookout for the suspect, who was described as "armed and dangerous."

Photos from the scene showed a man believed to be Mr. Rahami lying on the sidewalk, hands cuffed behind his back and his shirt pulled up exposing his stomach and chest, with a police officer standing over him, the New York Times reports. Rahami was taken to an ambulance in a stretcher with his right shoulder bloodied and bandaged, CNN reports.

Yahoo News says at least one officer was wounded in the gunfight. Condition and identity of the officer has not been released.

I hope that his wound hurts, a lot! Prayers for our wounded brothers that they are doing well and will soon recover completely and return to duty.
Great job on apprehending this POS. He deserved to die for what he did but it is good that we got him alive so he can be interrogated. I just hope that Obama doesn't step in and send him to Gitmo and then release him back to his country of birth.

Obama will not send his cousin to Gitmo. He obviously was abused during his arrest so he will be staying at the New York Hilton, presidential suite, courtesy of the FBI.

Being that you took the scumbag alive, can I do the interrogation with leather gloves endorsed with metal knuckles? Worked in the military. Get all the info you can then ship him off to Hotel Gitmo for life. I would reopen Alcatraz and give them eternal damnation there. I know, I know, its cruel and unusual punishment but they were cruel and unusual attempting to kill at a MARINE charity and innocents and POLICE in NYC. It is penned that all is fair in LOVE and WAR, is this not war?

Meanwhile our President is on the campaign trail for Clinton while we are under attack in 3 states. The borders should be closed for countries who show nothing by hatred for the USA. If the WWII vets were alive today they would be marching on the White House and demanding the borders be closed.

Be sure to provide all the niceties possible to the wounded POS. Make certain his "rights" have not been violated by all those that he murdered!
