VIDEO: Pennsylvania Officer Shot Multiple Times, Suspect in Custody

Authorities say a suspect is in custody after a police officer was shot several times in Folcroft, PA, Friday morning.

It happened around 10 a.m. on Baltimore Avenue near Elmwood Avenue in Folcroft while the officer was conducting a drug investigation behind an apartment complex.

Authorities say the 25-year-old officer, identified as Christopher Dorman, was shot at least six times in the face, back and leg, and transported to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital.

Officials told CBS Philadelphia Dorman is currently in critical, but stable condition.

“Thank God the officer was wearing his vest. It may have saved his life,” police said at an afternoon press conference.

This is an everyday event, my officers are advised to approach vehicles at any time of the day or night with their pistol drawn and to react to any threat as needed. It has become open season on law enforcement. I tell my people it is better to be judged by 12 then carried by six. God help the men and women in uniform.

It's sad that the article says suspect in custody. Suspect shot himself or suspect shot and killed by police sounds better and is better for society. It's rediculous to keep these thugs alive for 12 to twenty years and then execute them or let them out on technacality.
