VIDEO: 2 California Deputies Shot by Suspect Fleeing DUI Checkpoint

Authorities arrested a suspect Friday after he allegedly opened fire and struck two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies while fleeing a DUI checkpoint in Bellflower the night before.

The sheriff's department says the shooting happened about 10:50 p.m. Thursday.

During an early Friday morning press conference, authorities said deputies were conducting a DUI checkpoint in the area when a suspect began driving erratically in an attempt to flee from the checkpoint.

Deputies went after the suspect and ended up in a residential cul-de-sac where a second shooting occurred. Another deputy was struck by gunfire, and the suspect fled again. Sheriff Jim McDonnell said at some point, a third shooting occurred as another deputy tried to stop the suspect.

Hours later the wounded suspect was arrested, ABC 7 reports.

The two wounded deputies were rushed to the hospital and are in critical but stable condition. They were both in surgery early Friday morning, McDonnell said.

These stories are interesting to read about. However, the best part of some of these stories are omitted. Name, age, sex and of course not that we profile because its not PC. Bonus questions, was he an illegal and gang member. Inquiring minds want to know.

Its to bad that this government lets anyone come into this country, And you know it as well as me that sooner than later theres going to be another 911, the gang life they dont care if they go back to prison for killing a cop or the citizen just walking down the streets.
