VIDEO: California Officer Assaulted During Anti-Trump Riot

A few hundred protesters mobbed and attacked supporters of Donald Trump after the presidential candidate’s rally in San Jose, CA, Thursday night.

Trump supporters were even followed to their cars where they were attacked and their cars were kicked.

The San Jose Police Department made a number of arrests after the riot and told CBS San Francisco an officer was assaulted. No information was given on the officer's condition.

Notice Conservatives/Right (not extreme right) rarely protest and never riot. Only the Progressive left, not even talking about anarchists either. Can you even imagine how much the press would yell and scream if the Right did what the left is doing? Instead they blame the "victim" and trump for causing the violence due to Trumps speeches! So then if I disagree with Clinton that gives me the right to punch out people from the left? Can you just imagine if this was happening at Clinton and Sanders speeches?? Perhaps we should start, since apparently these rioters and thugs are just using their right to freedom of speech. I say if this continues to "go for it" and see what the end result is, Im tired of taking the hits, the blame etc and we should give them what they give us. Isn't this like blaming the female rape victim of wearing a short skirt as the reason she was raped since she was "asking for it"? Ridicules, two faced and hypocritical. San Jose PD did little to stop it either

I watched the riots at the Trump rally. It showed one man (Trump supporter) being assaulted right in front of a line of police officers. Not one of them stepped in to help the victim. Why is it that these criminals can assault Trump supporters, start fires in the middle of the street, stop traffic, and damage property with out being arrested and prosecuted? Are these Clinton or Sanders supports or just criminals exercising their right of "free speech?" People are blaming Trump for this violence. What next? Will it be acceptable to break into your house or car because you might be a Trump supporter?

The mayor is a devout Clinton supporter as I recall which is the motivation for
the political attack by him/her on Trump causing the problem as opposed to the rioters. I wouldn't be surprised to see George Soros or other left swing financier paying these scum bags for hire to go the Trump rallies and cause mayhem so they can blame Trump for his inflammatory speech. Hopefully the PD was not
acting at the request of the mayor for political purposes.

I find it very difficult to believe that anyone, either a protester or supporter being pummeled right in front of the Police and no action was taken?? Incredulous. Hope I'm wrong. On the bright side, if these thug protesters are getting paid to protest at Trump rallies, then kudos to Trump. He's putting people to work and he's not even President yet.

Ordinary Joe @ 6/7/2016 6:27 AM

@LEO (RET) I do not find it difficult that police would stand by and not protect. I have not worked at a big police department and do not know what influence the union has over its members, but would hazard a guess of quite a bit. Then you have a Dem mayor who appears to be of hispanic descent. These two factors are forefront in the press and they actually admitted they were not going to "serve and protect" the "wrong" people. So they supported dems, mexican and anti-trump community. Looks like we need to start protecting ourselves as indicated by others above.

I will be joining you in retirement shortly and I am thankful.
