VIDEO: Maine Police Escort Special Needs Couple to High School Prom

A heartwarming video of a couple arriving at their prom in Fort Kent, ME, has gone viral.

Ethan Hill and Sophie Saunders arrived at their prom in style and with a police escort Saturday. They both have special needs and are beloved by their community.

Ethan is a senior at Fort Kent Community High School. He's also an honorary police officer at the Fort Kent Police Department.

He often helps out the department and rides in the patrol cars with the officers. So to say "thank you," the department escorted Ethan and Sophie to their prom, WGME TV reports.

Now this is small town policing at its best. Great job, good for the citizens and good for PR for the department. Just hope they don't get slammed for not doing it for a minority couple, a Gay couple, Transgender coupleetc etc.. we have to be "fair". (ugh)

Ya know, I'm going through a little strife right now, but that put the first grin on my face in the last 8 hours...:)
