VIDEO: Arizona Deputy Shot Multiple Times During Traffic Stop

A deputy with the Maricopa County (AZ) Sheriff's Office was shot on Saturday morning while finishing up a traffic stop in Tempe, reports KNXV.

According to the Tempe Police Department, a deputy with the MCSO DUI task force was completing a traffic stop with a man in a car at Price Road and University around 2 a.m. when another vehicle, not connected to the stop, drove up behind the deputy and opened fire.

"He was struck in the lower part of his body," Tempe Police Department Lieutenant Noah Johnson said. "He's stable and appears to be okay."

The deputy, who is a 10 year veteran, was taken to the Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center where he was underwent surgery.

Tempe police also said several shots were fired at the deputy, and MCSO confirms the deputy was struck multiple times.

This is a direct result of thew BLM and Progressive movements who both say its ok to shoot cops. I hope we catch this gut and charge him with a hate crime in addition to the agg-assault if at all possible. This has been happening her in Az more often recently. his sh__ needs to stop or cops will shoot more folks when its legal to do so instead of even trying not to just because its "them or us". This type of crap may get the opposite result then these BLM/Progressives want. Or DO they want it that way so we really start to have additional racial problems especially in a presidential election year?

What has happened to this country? Any driver who shoots at police should be killed. Police are taking these thugs into custody just be be released or sentence lowered because the officer is white and suspect black. Make it a policy to empty your weapon into a vehicle when someone shoots at you. A new president and I don't mean Hillary is going to change things. And remember, sharpton is leaving the country if trump wins. Let make sure he leaves. Officers, don't lose your life because your afraid to do your job because of race. I don't give a damn what color suspects are, if you shoot at police, You need to be pushing up daisies.
