Man Punched Pennsylvania Officer and Yelled "Black Lives Matter"

March 31, 2016  |

Police say a man punched a suburban Pittsburgh officer who was sitting in a parked police cruiser then yelled "Black Lives Matter!" as he was taken into custody in Bellevue, PA.

Twenty-three-year-old Domenick Hoy has been jailed on aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and other charges pending a preliminary hearing April 7, reports WTAE TV

Bellevue police say Hoy was running and screaming toward the officer's car as it was parked across from the police station on Thursday night. When the officer rolled down his window to ask Hoy what was wrong, police say the Bellevue man punched the officer, breaking his nose.

It would be interesting to find out if the suspect is black. I'm pretty sure he is, but I wonder why the story didn't mention it. As for punching a Police Officer he's lucky he didn't get himself shot.

I agree, is there some policy with POLICE Magazine that purposely does not say the race of the offender? I wonder if after he yelled "Black lives matter" and struck the officer if the cop(s) yelled "so do blue lives" and beat him down like he deserved. Doubt it even if he deserved it, times have changed and not always for the better. Glad Im retired, or at least semi-retired.

kevCopAz: I'm glad your retired too.
Now if you would take the rest of the thugs with you.. I don't need your "protection".

I certainly know Daniel Shaver got more "protection" then he deserved. As did Kelly Thomas and Tamir Rice..
All people that have needlessly ended up dead thanks to the great men in blue.

Marcus, remember that you don't have any need for the Police if you're ever assaulted, shot at, or robbed by some thug. Remember that the Police whom you hate are going to respond to help you.
