FLEOA Issues Statement on Brussels Attacks

March 22, 2016  |

Following the terrorist attacks in Brussels, the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) National President Nathan Catura issued the following statement:

"Terrorism has been an international scourge and has struck every corner of our globe. Only through the combined transnational efforts of law enforcement agencies can these murders be deterred and our enemies defeated.

It is now more important than ever for Congress to fully support America's front line protection: our law enforcement officers. They deserve more than legislation by sound bite and must have full backing when it comes to their budget, mission and authorities.

We commend the Belgian law enforcement officers who bravely responded to the attacks and applaud their efforts to find and thwart further tragedy. We will keep them and all victims of terror in our thoughts and prayers."

This is truly pathetic...a police union hack, using the deaths of people to further his own agenda of more money and power (and less oversight).
This guy is just like an insurance salesman who knocks on your door the day after your neighbors house burns down.
I will call this guy the dirtiest word I know: he is a politician

Hey politician , how about a word of sympathy to the victims and their families ....even those that aren't LEO / Union brothers.

One more thing politician , LEO will never defeat cannot be defeated, only contained and reduced. And a combination of foreign policy, intelligence and targeted military response is the best containment policy.
The war on terror and the war on drugs are unwinnable win the war by removing the cause (addiction and political hate)..the IRA, PFLP, FARC, etc. that have been defeated or quit their acts of terrorism did so because of the factors I mentioned....not by giving the federal police a 10% raise!!!
