VIDEO: Shots Fired at Tennessee Sheriff's Home

An investigation remains ongoing after shots were fired at the Murfreesboro, TN, home of Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold around 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Officials with both the Murfreesboro Police Department and Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, Channel 5 reports.

The sheriff and his family were home. But fortunately no injuries were reported.

Authorities say the attack was a drive-by shooting. At least six reportedly .22-caliber shell casings were found outside of Arnold's home. None of the rounds are believed to have penetrated the home.

Almost sounds like a gang initiation act. Glad everyone is ok and watch your six Sheriff Arnold. Hopefully the perpetrators are caught soon and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

It could be one of his ex-employees. From what I've been told, there is a lot of corupt things going on in his department and any one who questions it, he attempts to trump up charges and fires them. The charges never stick but the employee is still fired with no recourse. I understand, from talking with some of the ex-deputies, he has fired about half the department since he took office. Don't know if all what I was told is fact, but the ex-employees believe it to be so. Still glad no one was hurt.
