Canadian Constable Shot and Killed Responding to Domestic

The Algonquin community of Lac Simon, Que., is in shock after a man opened fire on a police officer and then killed himself.

On Saturday night, police were called to a domesitic disturbance call at a residence in the community 500 kilometres north of Montreal.

As officers approached the house, shots were fired and Constable Thierry LeRoux, 26, was killed according to a a release from the Sûreté du Québec.

The alleged shooter, Joseph Anthony Raymond-Papatie, 22, killed himself, APTN News reports.
