The latest Alpha Elite Black ballistics model is an enhancement to the previous Alpha Elite design, offering an additional 17 percent weight reduction while still providing the same high level of protection. The newest design will be showcased at the 2016 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) taking place January 19-22 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
With the latest generation of Dyneema Force Multiplier Technology by DSM, Alpha Elite Black weighs a mere .79 psf (a significant reduction from the previous weight of .87 psf), with 9mm V-50s greater than 2,000 fps. The Alpha Elite Series was launched after Point Blank engineers began searching for a ballistic material that would meet the rigorous demands of U.S. Special Operations forces deployed in the world's most dangerous regions.

Similar to the original Alpha Elite product, Alpha Elite Black includes the Dyneema Force Multiplier Technology ballistic material that was developed to meet and exceed global standards for Law Enforcement, Military and U.S. Special Operations forces applications. It is designed to defeat high-velocity handgun rounds and fragmentation with minimal backface-deformation. Additionally, it offers truly superior multi-hit protection, according to the company.
