Massachusetts Officer Found Dead in Patrol Car, No Foul Play Suspected

A Tewksbury, MA, resident who was a long-time officer in the Everett Police Department was found unresponsive Wednesday morning in his marked cruiser and pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Officer Glen Briley, 44, a 19-year veteran of the Everett Police Department, died of apparent natural causes, according to the Everett Police Department's Facebook page. The Middlesex District Attorney's Office confirmed that no foul play is suspected, the Lowell Sun reports.
