VIDEO: MD Officer Shot in Face, Suspect in Custody

A man accused of shooting an Aberdeen, MD, police officer in the face is now in custody, police said.

The shooting happened around 3 a.m. Friday near Ohio Court and Baltimore Street, reports WUSA.

Police said an officer responding to suspicious activity heard a "pop" and was hit by pellets, not a bullet, possibly from a shotgun.

He was transported to the hospital and his condition is stable.

The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Tyler Scott Testerman, was found and taken into custody.
