Judge Orders Release of Controversial Chicago Police Shooting

Laquan McDonald was shot by Chicago police in 2014.

A Cook County, IL, judge has ordered Chicago police to release dashboard camera video of a white officer fatally shooting a black teen last year, but city attorneys said they plan to appeal the ruling.

The video in question shows a Chicago police officer shooting 17-year-old Laquan McDonald 16 times in October 2014.

Cook County Judge Franklin Valderrama said police must release the video by Nov. 25.

City attorneys immediately filed a motion to halt the release of the video while they appeal to the Illinois Appellate Court, but the judge denied their request, noting they have time to request a stay of his ruling from the appellate court before they would otherwise have to make the video public, CBS Chicago reports.

Police have said McDonald was under the influence of PCP, and slashing the tires of several cars with a 4-inch folding knife, when he refused police officers’ orders to drop the weapon.

If this is all true, why would the city NOT release the video? If he was high and attacking people etc then the shooting is righteous, perhaps it too 16 shots to stop this suspect if he was high on PCP There are many examples of this in the past, they do not feel pain and vital organs must be hit and cease to function before the suspect goes down. This has been proven in the past in various police shootings. But based upon the race of the offender, this wont matter at all, "Black dies, GREEN ($) flies" from the city to the greedy hands of the family and the lawyers. Oh and to the consultants who will train each and every officer in addtional "race relations training". Facts are meaningless. Glad Im retired.

If your skin is any color but white the rules no longer apply. Do whatever you want cause if you get caught just scream racism and you are free.
