VIDEO: Vest Saves Colorado Officer in Sunday Morning Shooting

The Palm Beach County (FL) Sheriff’s Office is singling out one of its deputies for his brave actions.

Deputy Brandon Serraes saved an elderly couple from a fire at Century Village in suburban Boca Raton Saturday night, according to the sheriff’s office.

The deputy carried the man, who was even on fire, and his wife down two flights of stairs, the sheriff’s office said.

The husband was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami where he later died. He was identified as 95-year-old Byron Krieger.

His wife did not suffer life-threatening injuries. WPTV reports.
