Inside the Baltimore PD's Freddie Gray Investigation

October 09, 2015  |

As massive protest marches continued across Baltimore, the pressure was building inside police headquarters, and Commissioner Anthony W. Batts wanted answers — fast. Near midnight on a cool April night, he pressed six top commanders sitting at a conference table for details about Freddie Gray’s death.

A 30-person task force was interviewing witnesses, reviewing video and searching records in the days after Gray died, but crucial questions remained. Did Gray suffer an injury before his spine was damaged in police custody? Was he hurt while being dragged to a police van or was he malingering? Did police beat him?

Batts asked his commanders if they were aware of the growing tension downtown, where swarms of protesters had halted rush hour traffic that day. Demonstrators yelled and swore at police officers, chanting “No justice, no peace!” To handle the crisis, the Police Department had canceled vacations and ordered all officers into duty; the Maryland State Police also was called in to help. Sadly, I don't see a peaceful or just resolution to this. I feel regardless of facts or evidence these guys are going to sacrificed on the altar of public outrage.

We now are viewing the results and aftermath of 50 years of Democratic leadership coupled the PD being ordered to "stand down" after the event, to not enforce the law and to allow Perps to run rampant over the city. Next we we had our legs urinated upon while being told it was raining. Eventually the Truth will "out," and reality will be exposed. An old aphorism that "Shht happens" also goes along with the fact that "Shht rolls down hill." My condolences to the LEO's having to tolerate these phenomena. May St. Michael be with you during these events. But if Sharia Law is allowed to get a foothold, be aware that throughout Islam, the USA is called "The Big Devil." Sadly, our Liberal Colleges are teaching the students that USA is the cause. I speak as a former Professor at the Northern Virginia Community College; Forensic Psychology.
