Man Stabbed Officer with Railroad Spike During Traffic Stop

September 16, 2015  |

Tyrone Bass was shot and killed after reportedly stabbing a deputy with a railroad spike.
Tyrone Bass was shot and killed after reportedly stabbing a deputy with a railroad spike.

A St. Bernard Parish deputy is recovering from being stabbed in the head with a railroad spike. Police say he was attacked during a traffic stop in Chalmette, La., reports WWL-TV.

"We know that one officer was initially in contact with the suspect, he called for backup, a couple more officers showed up on scene, and that initial officer was injured and transported to an area hospital," said Louisiana State Police Trooper Evan Harrell.

Harrell said that the officer shot and killed the suspect, later identified as Tyrone Bass, during that altercation. The officer was later released from St. Bernard Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say they don't know why Bass attacked the officer.

I think that we all know why he attached the officer. A little support from the media and the leaders of the country would certainly be nice. Job well done deputy. Get well soon.

Wondering if the Officer was White? This may matter since suspect is (was) a B/M. Was this related to the Racist anti cop "Black lives Matters movement"? Normally race should not matter but THEY bright it up so now we need facts, how many Police officers and how many WHITE police officers are being attacked and killed daily (unlike lie that Cops "kill/hunt" B/ms daily alleged by BLM folks) Seriously we need to use same methods and state FACTs so we can DEFEND all cops and especially White cops who are being painted as Racist murderers "hunting Black males"!

This item is worthy of being presented to the public as a teaching tool. I demonstrates the concept of cause and effect regarding consequences when higher level thinking is impaired. A blood sample MUST be taken of Tyrone in order to establish the presence of legal or illegal substances. We can hypothesize that his thinking was impaired when he used a Railroad Spike in his attack on a LEO. Tyrone also removed himself from the gene pool by being killed for his decision to attack a LEO during a simple traffic stop. This is an excellent teaching tool for Black Lives Matter. Conclusion: Do NOT attack a LEO with a Railroad Spike; instead, cooperate, comply with requests and choose living instead of risking death by committing an attack with a weapon.

We all know WHY, it's the same reason all of these other assholes are attacking police officers. These black attacktavist groups are the reasons why. Im just waiting to see what these p.o.s. are gonna say about this maggot and say that he was a good boy that didn't deserve to die. PLEASE! Glad the officer will be ok. To all the other assholes out there such as king noble, we'll find you, and you'll pay too.
