VIDEO: Thousands Participate in Texas "Police Lives Matter" March

Thousands took part in a Police Lives Matter march on in Houston on Saturday.

The event honored Harris County Deputy Darren Goforth who was gunned down at a gas station in Cypress last month.

An estimated 10,000 people — in jeeps, on bikes and on foot — participated. No matter how they were moving, the message was the same.

"Police lives matter; all lives matter," one participant told WFAA TV.

I love to see this. Too bad all this b.s. is still going on. THANX obama, I bet none of you clueless libs even went as a show of support. All you libs are cowards. Thanx for having our backs.

Great to this support for POLICE,God Bless them. Again where this took place is Texas, where they are more conservative, law abiding and respect law enforcement.

If this took place in the liberal northeast the march may have gotten a small amount of coverage or nothing. Those that think the cops are automatically wrong every time a minority is shot or killed think again what did that minority do .Were they involved in illegal criminal activity, have a weapon and refused the officers commands to drop the weapon? Things like that can result in someone possibly getting shot or killed. It's not always the cops fault. For those who are anti police that is your belief, but don't judge ant police officer unless you have been one or been their situations. Yes, police work is inheritly dangerous.
Many of the so called reforms due to Ferguson, MO, Staten Island, NY come from people who have no clue about police work US Justice Department, and groups that want to reform the cops.

It is good to see this level of support for law enforcement. I hope it was covered by the national media, if it wasn't it should have been. Maybe it would help balance all the crap they put out about how mean the police are to those poor picked on criminals that are just trying to defend their way of living by killing law enforcement officers.

Ditto! We need a 50 state March.

This is what we need. Funny though, I missed all of this on the evening news. Where is the support from the White House????

Robin L @ 9/15/2015 4:20 PM

As an LEO, I sure wish I could have gotten to Texas to participate! No surprisingly, no major media coverage. There would have been tons of t.v. cameras had it been a parade of thugs!!! Stay safe and watch your backs fellow LEO's.
