NYPD Officer Shot with Pellet Gun Outside Mayor's Mansion

August 24, 2015  |

An officer in New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s security detail was shot with a pellet gun Sunday night outside Gracie Mansion, according to NYPD sources.

The officer and her partner were getting out of an unmarked police car near the mayor’s Upper East Side residence shortly after 7 p.m. when she “felt pain in the lower back,” a department spokesman told the New York Daily News.

De Blasio was not home at the time.

The pellet broke the plainclothes offier’s skin, but did not lodge in her body, and the officer was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital for treatment.

She has since been released.

Police took in two teenagers, an 18-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, for questioning.

Sure feel sorry for any officer having to guard that POS Mayor, Im sure if I were ion that detail (would have to be forced to do so)not the and a bullet came at that POS Mayor , I would step aside..... definitely not in front of it! Im going to say what ALL of you are thinking, too bad DeBlasio didn't get the pellet in his A__!, which would be a brain pan hit anyway.

I think that they should put these punks into a small cage with about 15 King Cobras and see how long it takes before they are crying their eyes out with fear. After the first bite it wouldn't make any difference anyway.

A well maintained pellet gun can kill. Many people use pellet guns to hunt with so the thought this gun is a toy is not true. The Mayor's son was himself assaulted within sight of his father's home earlier this summer. I suspect the Mayor lives in a rough part of town.
