Attorney General Loretta Lynch voiced strong support Monday for the country's police officers, praising them as peacemakers and encouraging them to be part of the national conversation about improving relationships with minority communities, reports the Associated Press.

In her address to the national Fraternal Order of Police in Pittsburgh, Lynch voiced unequivocal support for law enforcement as she sought to reassure officers that she understood the challenges that they face. She praised them for running toward danger when others head in the other direction and for "working to maintain the peace."

"Thank you for being the peacemakers," Lynch said.

She acknowledged that the public sometimes makes assumptions about police officers, but said that was why law enforcement needs to speak proudly about the work it does.

We should thank her for her support, apparently she was a good prosecutor. she needs to SHOW support, not just mouth it We will see. She also needs to prove herself that she is not a "Holder/puppet" of Obama. She needs to do the right thing, stand by her morals and ignore politics unlike Holder. She needs to show US in Police work that nobody is above the Law (as they always she we are not) and investigate Clinton email server, IRS, Holders DOJ with botched investigations etc. THEN Ms. Atty Gen. you will have earned our respect and we might believe you are giving us more then lip service. I hope that she truly is a person of integrity and looks to serve the People and Justice, unlike Holder who served his master Obama as a political hack..

Attorney General Lynch how about convincing your boss in the white house to think the way that you are talking about, When we see some action then we can truly believe what you say.

Thanks to National FOP support with Congress, she is in her job with relative ease. She would have been approved anyway, but the process was much less volatile thanks to the National FOP. Local FOP up in NY were supportive of her. She will be much better to work with than her predecessor.
