Throughout the sentencing of Thomas Johnson III on Thursday, his life was often contrasted with that of the man he murdered last September: Rochester, N.Y., police Officer Daryl Pierson.

Johnson, 39, has lived a life of crime and was a parole absconder when he fatally shot Pierson.

Pierson was a military veteran and dedicated cop.

Why is the scumbag still alive. He brutally murdered a police officer. When is our justice system going to wake up.
