VIDEO: Texas Officer Suspended Following Pool Party Incident

A McKinney, Texas, police corporal was placed on administrative leave after a video surfaced Saturday showing him pulling a 15-year-old girl to the ground and pinning her down outside a pool party Friday night in the expansive Craig Ranch subdivision. Seconds later, he pulled his gun and pointed it at two teens who appear to try to come to her aid.

The profanity-laced seven-minute video, posted to YouTube on Saturday, had been viewed more than 4 million times by Monday. It shows white police officers trying to control black teens who had scattered as officers arrived in the neighborhood, the Dallas Morning News reports.

McKinney Mayor Brian Loughmiller said that he expects city staff and police officials to quickly conduct an investigation into the officer’s actions.

Well this is another idiot in the force, how many more do we have in, that will cause a problem, no place for this guy in the force

OTJBlue @ 6/8/2015 6:59 PM

Jesus brother. Way to lose your cool and make us all look like assholes. Kids run and do other stupid things, we know this, and act accordingly. Horrific timing to act like that buddy. Horrific. Freaking. Timing.

Maybe people should start doing what they are told. The police need to start standing their ground and tell the press and the whiners to STICK IT.

cindi j @ 6/9/2015 7:30 AM

Absolutely Vindicator, I agree. We need to stop making these stories about the police.

A Deputy @ 6/9/2015 11:07 AM

Gotta shake my head at this. How else do you take someone to the ground and cuff that is resisting arrest? Maybe he should have begged her to comply. Liberal media hate the police. An officer dealing with an unruly mob, took someone to the ground who was resisting and pulled his weapon when other males run up to possibly assault him. The punks ran away and the gun was holstered...big deal!

Pancho @ 6/9/2015 7:37 PM

Vindicator,Cindi J and A Deputy, I really would like to see what will you do, when I take down your 14 or 15 year old child in a Bikini to the ground and point a gun to the child, Don't you have common sense?, She has no weapon and she is terrify,
But do not worry, one day will happen to your child then tell me what you think ? Ok?

Ok @ 6/10/2015 3:25 AM

It is too easy to be armchair generals these days. I am still trying to figure out what he did wrong to justify a suspension and all of this attention.

It's an unarmed teenage small framed girl who so it seems wasn't doing much for robocop to carry on in that fashion. He then slams her head into the ground. He's commanding all the black youth to sit down and handcuffed some of them not knowing all the details...two youth run up to spectate as the others who were also alarmed at this officers conduct were then scared off by the weapon this officer pulled out without any probable cause to do so. There was no real threat there. Just mouthy frustrated teens. Where's are restraint in handling situations like this? No, don't pull out the taser. Pull out your duty weapon. Gimme a break....This situation could've been handled so differently. Like their own chief said..12 of his officers responded and only 11 got it right! As for Super-cop with no tolerance or patience, he did himself and his department a disservice. Like the one white kid said.."we were there, why didn't they (officers) address them..? Hmmmm.
