VIDEO: Delaware Officer Indicted for Assault After Video Shows Him Kicking

The Delaware Attorney General's Office has indicted a Dover police office on assault charges after he was caught on camera kicking a suspect in the face.

A dash camera from another patrol car captured Officer Thomas Webster approaching Latif Dickerson following a fight back in August 2013. After ordering Dickerson to the ground, Webster is seen kicking him once in the head, knocking him out and breaking his jaw.

A grand jury convened in 2014. It did not indict him. But the Delaware Attorney General's office took the case before a second grand jury. That jury indicted Webster on Monday on assault charges.

Delaware NAACP leaders are criticizing the police department's decision to release the video, saying they wanted time to redirect any tension that would stem from the footage being made public, WPVI TV reports. The officer is white; the suspect is African-American.

Absolutely Joe! Great point... I find it odd that this story has been up since May 7th and nobody else has added comments..Hmmm. But strangely enough much is said when one feels that an officer is justified in killing another. But here we see an officer breaking a man's jaw on camera and only Joe and Jon respond? I'll speak on behalf of justice..........Fire that officer and hire an officer who can better conduct himself while serving the public. I don't condone violence against officers because I am one, but you can see why anger is building toward us because some of these officers don't have a clue. We all where blue and we're gonna be looked at as a unified front and that's fine. But to have cops carry on like this shames those of us who literally do our job the right way! Where's the honor in this video? Two officers obviously have the upper hand, but one goof ball took his job to the extreme. If we wanna stop violence, we have to first stop acting violent!!!! honor the badge......
