NCJRS Provides Correctional Resource Guide

In recognition of National Correctional Officers and Employees Week, NCJRS is sharing an article that highlights publications, training programs, and Websites related to correctional facilities and staff.

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan recognized correctional officers' increasingly complex role with Proclamation 5187, creating "National Correctional Officers’ Week." Each year, the first full week in May commemorates the contributions of correctional officers and personnel who work in jails, prisons, and community corrections across the country.

In recognition of National Correctional Officers and Employees Week, which is celebrated May 3–9 this year, NCJRS is sharing a Special Feature on Correctional Resources. This resource highlights publications, training programs, and Websites related to correctional facilities and staff.
