San Antonio Officer Found Dead In Apparent Suicide at Police HQ

April 30, 2015  |

A San Antonio (Texas) Police Department Officer died Tuesday afternoon in an apparent suicide at Public Safety Headquarters in downtown, reports the San Antonio Express-News.

Officer Bryan Moen, a 13-year veteran of the force, was found dead in the garage of the building at 301 S. Santa Rosa, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

In a statement released Wednesday morning SAPD said specially trained personnel are working with Moen’s family and fellow officers to deal with his loss.

"Suicide is something that has the potential to affect anyone at any time," the statement said. “If you or someone you know needs help, it’s important to get that help as soon as possible."

Sincerest condolences to his family and department. Its sad when officers find this the only way out of any situation. May he rest in peace.
