Sharpton Praises Chief's and Mayor's Response to North Charleston Shooting

April 13, 2015  |

The reverend Al Sharpton preached a sermon at a North Charleston church Sunday morning about the police shooting in north Charleston. Some had feared that Sharpton might inflame tensions. Sharpton actually delivered a speech that talked about how well a bad situation was handled.

At Charity Missionary Baptist Church on E. Montague Ave., Sharpton told the crowd that Mayor Keith Summey did the right thing. "When a man stands up and does what is right, I don't care why he does it, you must stand up and say he did what was right."

Summey and Police Chief Eddie Driggers sat in the front and listened, as Sharpton spoke. "What this mayor did is what we've asked mayors to do all over the country. Not to do us a favor, just enforce the law."

He said North Charleston's actions can be a model for the nation. "In the deep South, a mayor and police chief did what we couldn't get mayors in the north and the Midwest to do."

Nice to hear, but perhaps the other Chiefs & Mayors would have if the case deserved it and was not blown out of proportion by Race baiters like Al. If he and the like just wait for the facts to come out then justice will be done, when they jump to conclusions and riot and yell before anyone knows the facts then they are the ones to blame.

Al, go away, Just GO AWAY!

Maybe you could do a mailer, and instead of coming in and shaking down folks to support yourself, perhaps a lot of them would just send you money to stay out.

Sharpton praised this mayor and tore down all of the rest of the mayors across the country. What a standup guy. Watch out for what comes from him next.
