VIDEO: Inmate Attack Sends Three Arizona Officers to the Hospital

An 18-year-old psych inmate attacked four officers at the Lower Buckeye Jail, sending three officers to the hospital and knocking one unconscious, according to the Maricopa County (Ariz.) Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio says that the inmate never gave them problems before, but this morning he crossed into an area of the jail pod he was not supposed to be. The detention officers ordered him back to his cell, but instead he started attacking the officers. A TASER was used four times, but he pulled out eight probes and kept on fighting, reports KSAZ.

The inmate now faces charges for the assault.

Three of the four officers were taken to the hospital. Officer Scott Beatty, who was knocked unconscious, remains in the neurological unit at a valley hospital with a brain bleed.

My best wishes to the officers for speedy recoveries. just goes to show that people with head problems or that are on drugs are sometimes not affected by Tazers. That only leaves a hands on situation unless you still carry an ASP.

Just to be clear on terminology: This inmate was UNARMED. Send this to every news station. 'Specially Ferguson Mo.

No history??? How about the assault he committed on another inmate when he was being transported from 4th Ave to LBJ!!!!! How about the numerous OJ entries made regarding his behavior!!!
