A Catasauqua, Pa., police officer was stabbed early Monday morning after a police chase that ended in Allentown, where the suspect was shot and reportedly killed by police, according to emergency radio reports and officials.

Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin confirmed the officer was stabbed. Pennsylvania State Police confirmed there was an officer-involved shooting. "The officer is doing fine," Martin told Lehigh Valley Live.
