Brooklyn Ambush killer Had Criminal Record, History of Mental Illness

December 22, 2014  |

Ismaaiyl Brinsley, who had drifted between friends and family members for most of his short life, alienating most of them and failing at almost anything that he tried, decided to come home on Saturday. He boarded a bus in Baltimore, arrived in Midtown Manhattan just before 11 a.m., and then disappeared onto the N train at the Times Square subway stop.

He was bound for Brooklyn, where he had been born 28 years before, carrying the silver Taurus 9-millimeter pistol he had used earlier to shoot his ex-girlfriend.

He had a plan, which he soon shared with the world via Instagram: He wanted to kill two police officers.

Don't know what to think. Any time LEO approaches someone, just think about he might be a loser down on his luck? Is THAT it?

kevCopAz @ 12/22/2014 6:36 PM

boo hoo,,,, what about listing the crimes (Felonies) that he committed and was arrested and jailed for and stop with the boo hop crap about his tough life!. If this was such anti black country why wasn't he in jail for life with all the crimes he committed in the past?

The interview of his family was the first time I have ever seen family agree that their brother was extremely dangerous and mentally deranged. The family agreed that he killed the Officers not because of recent events but because of his mental instability.

I have the unique opportunity to teach Forensic Psychology to undergraduates. I am able to present evidence on the matter of being uninformed and misinformed as well as the product of actions taking place as a result of the uninformed delivering their beliefs to their children who then become misinformed by the uninformed. The result is chaos, erroneous perceptions, acting out, looting and burning when all the forces come together. Very few know what the Metabolic Syndrome is. Garner had that condition. He did NOT die from a "choke hold," and anyone familiar with UFC and MMA knows this. Sadly, the Media does NOT know this and the Media became a pipeline for misinformation. Sadly, Obama did NOT help on this matter. The NYC Mayor did NOT help on this matter. Personal responsibility and cooperating with lawful commands during an arrest were not part of the scene in Ferguson and the Garner events.

~In the City with the 100+ year old Sullivan Act., the most restrictive in the country, this thug goes from Maryland to Brooklyn Armed with a Taurus.
Determination to go armed, the "Gun Control" did not stop him.
Only another NYPD Officer did that before anyone else including civilians could be harmed.
MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES TO THE OFFICERS FAMILY, FRIENDS AND CO-WORKERS. Their loss saddens us all.
