VIDEO: Bystander Urges Panhandling Suspect to Fight California Police

In a confrontation captured on a provoking bystander’s video, an alleged panhandler is shown engaging in a fistfight with two Hawthorne police officers, knocking one of them to the ground.

The incident occurred Monday afternoon, when officers were called to reports of an aggressive panhandler who was in front of a Louisiana Fried Chicken location and was threatening people who would not give him money, a Hawthorne Police Department news release stated.

In the 52-second video, the man pushed two officers, punched at least one of them in the face and knocked one to the ground. In the background, the person taking the video repeatedly yelled out “F*** the police,” KTLA TV reports.
