Federal prosecutors in Seattle claim Jaleel Tariq Abdul-Jabbaar of Kirkland, Wash., repeatedly threatened to kill former Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson.
Prosecutors claim Abdul-Jabbaar began posting threats against Wilson shortly after the shooting and continued to do so after a Missouri grand jury elected not to indict the officer late last month, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports.
Born William Cox, Abdul-Jabbaar, 46, is a convicted felon previously sentenced to a year in federal custody for gun crimes. Federal prosecutors claim he was trying to acquire a pistol in late October while threatening violence.
On Nov. 22, Abdul-Jabbaar posted a note on Facebook indicating he was preparing to travel to Ferguson. Two days later, he is alleged to have stated he was "ready to go and kill some cops."
He also posted a cartoon showing a man shoot a police officer, depicted as a pig.
According to charging papers, Abdul-Jabbaar has also suggested he and others should hunt down Wilson’s wife and children.
