Ferguson Grand Jury Has Reached Decision, DA Expected to Announce Results Today

November 24, 2014  |

Numerous media sources are reporting that a St. Louis County grand jury has reached a decision in the case of Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson, whose fatal shooting of a young black man in August touched off weeks of sometimes violent protests.

Prosecutor Robert McCulloch is expected to announce later today whether Wilson, 28, will face charges for the Aug. 9 fatal shooting of Michael Brown.

Who cares..........The media should be ashamed how they have handled this case. They are just a guilty as the idiots rioting.

Front Sight @ 11/24/2014 11:44 AM

Get ready. Regardless of the outcome, some are going to riot either way. The investigation went through more than the normal process. Agree or disagree with the decision, the grand jury has spoken. All will be known when the criminal and civil cases are presented.

Trigger @ 11/24/2014 11:50 AM

If the Grand Jury votes in favor of no charges I am sure they will be in the cross hairs of the rioters!!

joseph porowski @ 11/24/2014 11:57 AM

What a burden these jurors had.

Bob @ 11/24/2014 11:59 AM

I agree with Front Sight. I don't think they even know what the hell they are protesting these past several weeks. Similar to those "occupy" morons.

Tschako @ 11/24/2014 12:06 PM

My guess is, if they would indict officer Wilson, they would have done it a long time ago, so I think they will not indict. Regardless of the outcome, rioting is seen by some people as an entitlement, and they will riot anyway.

SD @ 11/24/2014 12:19 PM

I pray for calm, but know from 28 years experience that the Out Of Towners are their to raise hell, injure and loot. My thoughts and prayers are with all Leo's as they attempt to do their jobs in Freguson, St Louis County, St Louis, MO and any other location that folks attempt to break the law during this decision by the grand jury.

TheRookie @ 11/24/2014 12:54 PM

This was race-baited from jump with the likes of Sharpton, Jackson, Farrakhan, Holder, Obama, CNN, NBC, etc. On November 9th the Black Revolutionary Group placed a bounty on Darren Wilson. Where's the SPLC or DOJ on this? Regardless of the facts that many all ready know these slugs will riot, injure, & possibly kill for their own greed.
And then phony Obama & Holder ask people not to be violent. That is a joke in-and-of itself. They are hoping for a race war. That has been evident from the start. Best wishes tonight & forward for the Officers in that region in these perilous times.

Joey blowey @ 11/24/2014 1:02 PM

Probably be anarchy if Wilson walks so get ready? Anarchy in Ferguson Mo!

Brady @ 11/24/2014 1:12 PM

Don't see an indictment on Wilson. What I do for see is HOLDER railroading Wilson in the name of's terrible to believe such a possibility but
Holder and Obama have been in the tank from day one......I just can't help but believe that that's been the plan since day one.....

I was a LEO for 28 years and recently retired, and never thought something like this could happen in this country. Obama and Holder have divided this country...we took a step back 20 years in race relations because of it.....

Thor Odinson @ 11/24/2014 1:51 PM

I'm a certified peace officer in two states and just checked to see what it would take for certification in Missouri. Just a written test. How about all you LEO'S or qualified retired LEO'S (check LEOSA) volunteering to back up Ferguson. I'm waiting for word from the Governor on a short term appointment!

Capt. Crunch @ 11/24/2014 2:41 PM

I say hope for the best and be prepared for the worst. The good side of this is that if all hell breaks loose there will be less people on welfare and the ones who got through this hell will respect the police more.

Concerned Citizen @ 11/24/2014 3:04 PM

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Back in the 1990's I was shocked to see the Large Majority of Black People's reaction to OJ Simpson getting an Innocent verdict during the trial. He killed two innocent people, it doesn't matter that they were white. And the Black population was overjoyed he got away with. That same group is telling everyone else how Zimmerman is guilty and Wilson is too! Yet they have no right to lecture others on guilty or innocence when they judge so based on RACE! If a white person was that prejudiced, they would be accused of working for the KKK. But we all know O and Holder love the New Black Panthers. What's the difference? No man should be lynched because of his color! Thoughts and prayers for officer Wilson. No man should suffer being wrongfully accused. LEO or non-Leo.

rede2hike @ 11/24/2014 3:22 PM

I am trying to be hopeful on what the vedict is going to be but...if it's a political choice & not a decision based on the facts it will send law enforcement the message that we had better strap on targets and throw away our side arms cause it's open season on us. I should have become a fireman.

westcoastleo @ 11/24/2014 3:37 PM

I've been West Coast Deputy Sheriff 35 yrs and 10 yrs line sgt. I'm still active soon to retire. I've seen it all. I was in the middle of the 92 riots and the cocaine wars of the 80's... O and people who follow O have ruined this country. No one wants to hear the truth and if the truth is spoken O's followers will find a way to change or distort the facts. I say bring it on, let it go, fight the fight and do not let the savages hold this country hostage over a damn good police officer who was doing his job. That kid was a savage robber. He forceablly stole property then attacked an officer who contacted him. He died due to his own actions. If I did the same thing and got shot, no one would even say a word. But,,,I'm not a stupid idiot like that kid...

Alfredo Arceo Jr @ 11/24/2014 4:28 PM

Whatever the decision the Grand Judy arrived to. I hope that the people and Law enforcement respect and stand behind by The decision that the (jurors) agreed on. That is how the our System works and we should respect it! There is no justice without respect!

Tom Ret @ 11/24/2014 5:01 PM

Instead of repeating the police acted stupidly comment, Obama now says in reference to rectifying the situation in Ferguson, the police need more training.
It really is overdue for the police in general in this country to tell Obama to shove it and they are tired of this lying, corrupt and racist hypocrite.

Dan @ 11/24/2014 5:09 PM

If they don't bring charges against Wilson, I hope white people dance in the street the same way blacks did when OJ was acquired. Obviously white people can't really dance but they can try. As for me, I'm a Mexican and will be celebrating with enchiladas.

Uh-oh @ 11/24/2014 6:33 PM

I have David Bowie and Mick Jagger's "dancing in the street" playing this very second.

Russell @ 11/26/2014 7:41 AM

I was attacked from behind, blind sided knocked out. I had to use knife to get out, I was knocked out a total of three times. The attacker never spent one day in jail. The prosecution decided they should plead down to a misdemeanor. I'll never work again duo to seizures. My life changed for ever, he goes on like nothing happened. I'm the good guy I worked hard every day, he was charged with a felony I have a life sentence of pain and suffering. True justice. your back nobody else will.
