California Officer Wounded, Gunman Killed in Saturday Shootout

November 24, 2014  |

A Saturday night shootout between a man and a police officer and two deputies in downtown Sonora, Calif., left the man dead and the officer and a bystander injured. The shootout came after the man led authorities on a roughly 3-mile pursuit.

Tuolumne County Sheriff Jim Mele identified the man as Bruce Thomas Snyder, 29, whose last known address was Jamestown. Authorities told the Modesto Bee that Snyder was on parole for assault with a deadly weapon.

Good. One less scumbag on the streets of California. Moon-Beam Brown should be proud of L.E. who still do their job regardless of his road blocks.

Well another one bites the dust as he chooses to shoot instead of surrender. Why don't they realized they can't outrunn the radio and the officers back each other up. good job officers and deputies. Stay safe out there brothers and sisters.
