VIDEO: St. Paul Officer Hurt in Crash with Light Rail Train

A St. Paul, Minn., police squad car traveling with its lights and sirens was hit by a Green Line light rail train Monday afternoon in St. Paul.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. on University Avenue at Pascal Street.

St. Paul police told KSP TV the officer was unconscious after the crash. He was taken to Regions Hospital, with pains in his back and neck. He was later released from the hospital.

One thing about it regardless of what train it is they just don't & generally can't stop on a whim.

The train always has the right of way. The train can't swerve or stop suddenly but the Officer should have already known that.
