A Texas constable died following a fight early Saturday morning at a haunted house in Canutillo.

According to investigators, Precinct 1 (El Paso) Constable Robert White was working security at the Texas Terror Trail Haunted House on the 400 block of Anthony Avenue when he got into a physical altercation with another man around 12:30 a.m.

Authorities identified the suspect as 19-year-old Devon Person Huerta, KTSM TV reports.

According to a complaint affidavit, Constable White was punched in the face and fell to the ground, unresponsive. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Huerta, a Fort Bliss soldier, was charged with Capital Murder and his bond was set at $5 million. According to the affidavit, Huerta tried running from the scene before he was taken into custody.

Holy crap!!!! UNARMED TEENAGER KILLS COP!!!!!!That should be the headline.

JoJo @ 11/3/2014 4:32 PM

Too true Tbow426, but for some reason the national media doesn't seem to care.

Enrique @ 11/3/2014 4:48 PM

Tbow426 - you hit the nail on the head. Where is the national media on this?

kevCopAz @ 11/3/2014 4:53 PM

There must be a mistake! Cops are the ones who kill unarmed people, thats why the media must have missed this. It couldn't be that a WHITE Cop was KILLED by a MINORITY who the cop was not attacking or violating the minorities rights! Im sure that once the DOJ and Holder look into this the white cop will be the suspect in a civil rights violation against the poor abused minority who was obviously not a criminal and was only defending himself from the racist police officer. I HATE the libs and Lib news media, they are so two faced and hypocritical. This is so very typical of the libs/media…cops are expendable and there is NEVER a racial motivation when a minority kills a white.

How did this perp get into the ARMY? Is this part of the Prez's amnesty plan?

TheRookie @ 11/4/2014 12:36 AM

R.I.P. Constable R. White. May your direct & L.E. families be blessed at this time. Went to work extra at a haunted house to never return home. Sad & pathetic.
Typical Lap Dog MSM Water Pale Carriers failed to report, again. They report Ft. Hood as work place violence & most likely when they report on this it'll be, The poor heroic soldier was scared for his safety due to Ferguson. The Constable was being racist. Obumbler's new transformed America. Thugs in the military.

Where's Al Sharpton? He's a man of justice, right? Oh, wait - he'll probably be along latter on to demand for the release of the person being charged!
Prediction: Investigators and prosecutors can't do right by him, IF the person being (or not) charged isn't of his liking!
