Feds Warn of ISIS-Inspired Threat Against Police in U.S.

October 13, 2014  |

According to a Joint Intelligence bulletin from the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security sent to U.S. law enforcement officials, an ISIS spokesman recorded an audio message that urged lone offenders in Western countries to attack "soldiers, patrons, and troops … their police, security and intelligence members." Attackers did not need to "ask for anyone's advice" prior to striking, said the message, because such actions are legitimate, reports NBC News.

An English language translation of the message, which was attributed to ISIS spokesman Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, was posted on a jihadi forum in late September.

Also in September, according to the bulletin, an ISIS supporter posted a document in an ISIS-dominated web forum advocating "open source jihad" and "lone wolf operations" by U.S. Muslims against "a list of potential targets, including military, law enforcement, FBI personnel, government officials and media figures."

good thing Obama is going to "de-militarize" local law enforcement.....

David Anderson @ 10/13/2014 4:28 PM

This is not news or new. It is SOP among Islamic organizations and their members. We have already seen such in the Ft. Hood Jihad massacre, the Boston Marathon bombings, and the recent spate of beheadings and attempted beheadings. All of this is in keeping with Islamic law and teachings. As a side note, "lone wolf" terror is easier to accomplish, does not involve logistics or warnings prior to the attack, and allows the instigators to deny responsibility.

I hope the good people of this country wake up on voting day. The DOJ and ROE in our own country is killing us too.

Good thing the Police are being "demilitarized", they don't need those weapons.

Nightstalker @ 10/13/2014 8:31 PM

Thugs and cockroaches, kill them all!!!

TheRookie @ 10/13/2014 11:36 PM

Oh they're here. They are here. My little brother is a Transport Deputy in Denver Metro-Area for Gang Members, DOC Hardened, & these new hard Muslims. Said they are dangerous evil snakes. Good friend works in Aurora which they've nicknamed Saudi Aurora. Same with him there. Said they have raised Mosques every where. Like a little Mecca. Be careful out there Men/Women.

First Ebola, now ISIS, Mr. Obama, please step down, you are screwing up this country.

Talk about poking a bear. If they think the response to Eric Frein has been substantial, just wait until the first muslim attack on a cop. Not only will you see a massive response from LEO's, but us combat vets WILL respond as well.

Tom Ret @ 10/14/2014 9:05 AM

The public and LE need to face facts and call it what it is which is Islamic
terrorism. To try and spin it any other way is just plain stupid and will get people killed. When Obama makes statements such as ISIS is not Islam,
everyone should question whether he is rational. His inability to lead is obvious
to anyone paying attention. LE needs to pull together and cover each others back because this administration will not.

Situational awareness is paramount, always has been, always will be. Drive different vehicles to work. Go different routes to work. Vary your times of leaving and going anywhere. Keep the watchers confused. Always carry two guns with spare ammo. Keep your head on a swivel.

2 members of the Canadian Forces were attacked by a home grown jihadist who ran them over with his car. 1 is dead, the suspect was shot dead by responding police. Stay alert and be safe brothers and sisters.
