On-Duty NYPD Officer Assaulted in Bronx Bodega, Gun Taken

September 02, 2014  |

A man and two teenagers were arrested after police say they attacked an off-duty police officer and stole his gun in the Bronx.

The NYPD says three people seen in surveillance video assaulted the officer when he stopped at a bodega on the Grand Concourse before work Saturday morning.

The officer's gun fell to the ground during the struggle, NY1 reports.

Police say a 15-year-old who took part in the attack ran off with the gun.

He was arrested a short time later, along with 32-year-old Tyrone Selby and 17-year-old Adrian Medina.

The officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Time for a better holster, officer! Glad he's okay.

You should always carry a knife or two period. You could have used one adter your gun fell and while you are being attacked. Sadly now a days many more people hate law enforcement. Crime is up despite worthless obama n his fake figures so more attacks coming on all. Be safe
