Brown was killed Saturday Aug. 9 by Officer Darren Wilson. He has worked six years for the Ferguson PD and has never been the subject of disciplinary action.

The chief also released documents that reveal Brown was a suspect in a strong-arm robbery of a conveience store. That robbery occurred Saturday afternoon shortly before the OIS.

Didn't mention that he was a mere 6'4" & 290 lbs. With video & new released facts it is now a whole different story.

Thoughts & Prayers for All. 6 years Service and no Cites or Complaints sounds like a Professional Police Officer to me. If the Officer followed SOP & State Law then these Demonstrations (Riots) are being performed by the Lawless. Let us Hope that the Politicians & the Media Do NOT hang this Officer out to dry for Political Correctness or Pandering to their Base.

It just irks me how the community made this a racial shooting before all the facts were released. They looted their neighbors stores and caused 1,000's in damage to their own community. They robbed and rioted with the excuse it was a racial shooting. The old excuse my son was a good boy until you see his rap sheet. Then the good Reverend Al had to be there to inflame the community. I thought I saw enough of this as a rookie cop in the 70's, but its back again. Off Wilson with the current facts had probable cause and if so he will be justified. Even if justified in a good shoot, there will be more riots. Shame on all you instigators in Ferguson, that rioted and robbed, you're all a disgrace to your community.

Paul @ 8/15/2014 10:35 AM

Regardless of following SOP and State Law, the riots are still being preformed by the LAWLESS...... I believe the Officer did exactly what he was supposed to do but even IF he did not that does not condone the actions of the POS acting like idiots and rioting !!!!

J @ 8/15/2014 11:54 AM

Its sad but this Officers has already been branded. No matter what comes to light the community and country have already made up their minds. Its amazing that a criminal is "innocent until proven guilty" by LE is guilty and even when found innocent we are still guilty. I blame obviously the people themselves as they make the choice to act like animals but I do put some blame on the judical system, why? because there is no consequences any more. how many times do we see criminal get off or lighter sentence. PA not very high for traffic violations. Ya the law says a DUI offender will do so and so if convicted but it rarely happens. Heck a lot of states say a life sentence is 30 yrs. really come on, life means you stay locked up till you die. No one fears a death sentence anymore. The fools rioting dnt care because what the consequence? Brown didnt care and now hes no longer here. People need to take responcibility and the judicial systems needs to grow a pair. prays to the Officer.

Capt. Crunch @ 8/15/2014 12:29 PM

Good job officer don't let this BS slow you down, please keep making Ferguson safe.

TERRYF. ZECH VAPD(RET) @ 8/15/2014 12:31 PM

I don't know the name of that CNN reporter but he needs to be thrown under a bus. He is so prejudiced it isn't funny. The people of that town need to let the investigating agency do their job. They are going to have to be patient. If they come back with a justified shoot which I am not sure of at this point. They will tear the town apart. Then they will have the SWAT teams back in action and the state police back in action and their SWAT teams. Capt Johnson is a good trooper and I believe he will back the decision of the investigating agency and the prosecutors which ever way it goes. Prayers to Officer Wilson and prayers to Mr.Brown's family as they try to make any sense of this. Their son from what I can see on video committed a crime. As far as surrendering it is hard for me to believe it.

BJ @ 8/15/2014 1:19 PM

Now we have the FBI/DOJ involved before the investigation is over. Apparently they don't trust the State to perform a valid investigation. The DOJ can't even find the guns from their own illegal operation. So sorry that we've allowed Entitlements to go this far. The lawless are never at fault anymore.

BJ @ 8/15/2014 1:24 PM

Its a shame that we've gone so far out left on the PC and entitlements that the lawless are not to blame for anything. The FBI and DOJ are inserting themselves before the investigation is completed. The outsides who stirred the hornets nest will walk and our tax dollares will be used to rebuild.

Charlie @ 8/16/2014 7:44 AM

I would like to know where the FOP and other national police unions are. Why do we not have someone bringing our perspective to the public? Why isn't there a voice for us?

Concerned Citizen @ 8/16/2014 8:30 PM

It's a simple case, but being used to further the Police State Agenda by the One World Order. The officer took a call, for one thing. Mr. Brown thought the Police call was about his robbery. So he refused to cooperate with the Officer, while he was jaywalking. So the Thug aka Mr. Brown gets shot end of story! Yet the media is making him out to be a Saint! It's not character assassination to be a CRIMINAL! Like Robbing a bank or convince store!
Yet the Media, Obama & Others are inciting riots! There are LAWS ON THE BOOKS AGAINST HATE SPEECH! Obama & The Media have created this situation to sow the seeds of Martial Law! Inciting Riots are CRIMINAL ACTS!
Anyone who loved the USA, wouldn't allow one LIFE to Die for the sake of sick & twisted goals! Property damage, and loss of Life goes to the TOP! To the DOJ and POTUS! Any SANE person wouldn't risk innocent people getting KILLED! But we have a Narcissist Sociopath in the WH. End of story.

city police officcer @ 8/18/2014 5:17 AM

This message board has exactly what I would expect it to have; knucklehead micro view cops, retired cops, or want to be cops, justifying either terrible police work at best; or an assassination from an officer who didn't realize that when a confrontation is over you have to tone it down. I am a police officer - high ranking at that in a comparable city. I have no sympathy for the officer, that embarrassment for a police chief or the Ferguson PD. They handled this poorly from the initial contact to the awful dreadful media event
