Tulsa Police arrested two officers Tuesday night in connection with a deadly shooting. Sergeant Dave Walker identified them as Shannon Kepler, 54, and his wife, Gina Kepler, 48.

Walker says police were called about a shooting in the 200 block of North Maybelle at 9:16 p.m. That is where they found the body of Jeremy Lake, 19, reports NewsOn6 in Tulsa.

According to jail records, Lake was walking with the Keplers' daughter when they were confronted by a man driving a black 2007 Suburban. The daughter told police she recognized the SUV as her father's so she walked over and spoke to him. She told police her father asked what she was doing in that area and she walked away. That's when Lake approached the Suburban and told Kepler he was the daughter's boyfriend, she told police.

The daughter said her father shot Lake two or three times, then shot at her two or three times, but missed. Kepler then drove off, according to the daughter.

This are the POS that give fuel to people like Lenny!

J. Davenport @ 8/7/2014 4:14 PM

There's obviously much more to this story than has been reported here.

Mike @ 8/7/2014 5:01 PM

What do you think-the same old story, Hate crime? Need much more info to get with this one!

Capt. Crunch @ 8/7/2014 5:29 PM

What a waste of a life. you would think between the two of them one would have enough sense to prevent the shooting.

ResAgentSWA @ 8/7/2014 10:41 PM

Maybe I'm misreading but it says "arrested two officers." Military officers, police officers, what department, etc. How about having a news article that is a little more informative.

LtSteve @ 8/8/2014 5:43 AM

TO THE WEBMASTER

Why is this guy "Lenny" alowed to be on this site ranting and raving he obvious hate of those of us in law enforcement. Have never seen a positive post from this guy.

DT @ 8/8/2014 7:06 AM

@ Lenny

"you people"? What exactly do you mean Lenny? So you have now lumped all police officers into the corrupt category? I guess you have facts to support this assumption. I would be the first to admit that there are bad cops out there, just like there are bad priests, bad doctors, bad CEO's, bad parents, etc. Are you a bad parent Lenny? What is your profession? I'm sure that everyone in your profession is corrupt, because if a few of them are then they must all be.

You are smoking crack if you think some police officers aren't corrupt, just like you are smoking crack if you somehow surmise that ALL of them are corrupt if some of them are. That equation does not hold water. But then, you obviously have an axe to grind against law enforcement, and "you people" will always hate police officers.

I'm good with that!

jimthelast @ 8/8/2014 7:38 AM

I'm with LtSteve. The Webmaster needs to shut Lenny down. We all agree that opposing opinions are welcome but Lenny just goes too far, every time he posts. This is right below the Post a Comment button.
"POLICE Magazine does not tolerate comments that include profanity, personal attacks or antisocial behavior (such as "spamming" or "trolling"). This and other inappropriate content or material will be removed. We reserve the right to block any user who violates this, including removing all content posted by that user." If Lenny's comments don't fit the definition of "trolling" I don't know who does. (And besides, how does Lenny, and his like, get on this website to begin with? When I subscribed to Police Product News in 1981, yes I'm a Lifetime subscriber, I had to provide a copy of my Police ID. Are we now just letting anybody in?)

CubsFan @ 8/8/2014 7:53 AM

You're painting with a pretty broad brush there Lenny. The fact is that although there are indeed some bad police officers out there, the percentage of corrupt & dishonest cops is far far lower then the percentage of corrupt & dishonest folks in the general population. This is no doubt due to the intensive screening, background investigation, psyc testing, etc required by most agencies before hiring an LE officer. That's cool though because thousands of honest cops put there rears on the line every day so the "Lenny's" of the world can have the security & safety to sit anonymously behind their keyboards & take cheap shots. You're welcome Lenny...

10 RULES FOR DATING MY DAUGHTER:
#1. I AM HER FATHER AND I CARRY A GUN.
#2. DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE REST OF THE RULES.

Mac @ 8/8/2014 9:30 AM

Hey, moron Lenny: you seem to be missing the point that both of those stories show that when LEO's do break the law, they are treated just like anyone else who does and please don't bother to go off on one of your usually "I hate cops" rants. Whenever it happens, and it will happen sometime, when you are in a incident where your need to call the police, why don't your call one of your dope smoking buddy's to come help you and see what happens. Note to WEBMASTER of this site. I am also in complete agreement about keeping this cop hating POS off this site.

jimthelast @ 8/8/2014 3:31 PM

Lenny, Here's a truth I know you won't accept. The vast, vast majority of us would rather have a drug dealer as a son-in-law than a crooked Cop.

TEN RULES FOR DATING MY DAUGHTER:
RULE #1: I AM HER FATHER AND I CARRY A GUN.
RULE #2; DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE REST OF THE RULES.

Ima Leprechaun @ 8/9/2014 10:42 PM

It's really not hard to guess what this was about since the daughter referred to the location of the shooting as an area of town she wasn't supposed to be in according to her father. I would hazard to guess this was a race issue for Dad. I see Lenny is still off his badly needed medication.

Capt. Crunch @ 8/10/2014 3:09 PM

I think every parent wants their children to be happy and have a healthy relationship. But to shoot someone that your daughter likes is way off the wall. You can give someone a shovel but how they use it is up to them. They should have support their daughter with love, instead they showed hate.

Sherry @ 8/14/2014 1:48 AM

If the two officers did this to daughters friend then I can see that they were not very nice to others they have delt with. There past arrests and complaints really need to be looked at.
