Man Arrested for Attacking Harlem Housing Officer

July 22, 2014  |

A pot-puffing suspect wanted for an assault on a cop that knocked several teeth out of the officer’s mouth was arrested Monday afternoon, police said.

Police cuffed John Pica, 26, after receiving a tip about his whereabouts, a police source said. He was questioned at the 23rd Precinct in East Harlem and later booked on a felony rap of assault on a police officer, cops told the New York Daily News.

Police officials would not say how they identified the 5-foot-11, 220-pounder as the suspect in the attack, which happened at the Clinton Houses in East Harlem on Sunday.
