ACLU Sues Border Enforcement Agencies

May 23, 2014  |

The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit in San Diego federal court Thursday against Customs and Border Protection and the Department of Homeland Security, arguing that the agencies did not produce a document that the ACLU requested under the Freedom of Information Act, reports the San Diego Union-Tribune.

The document is a report, commissioned by Customs and Border Protection, that was issued in 2013 by the Police Executive Research Forum, an independent third party.

The report's details were first published by the Los Angeles Times. The investigators analyzed 67 Border Patrol case files of civilian shootings, including 19 fatalities. The report concluded that Border Patrol agents have used excessive force and that the agency didn't properly investigate these deaths.

How come the ACLU isn't going after Obama for signing the NDAA?? Why does the ACLU fight to protect Law Breakers like Illegal Aliens who drain our Natural Resources, and help create Scarcity. Thus more Illegal Aliens food and other prices will go up because of higher demand. And because our resources are Finite many Americans will Starve to Death. And if that isn't bad enough. Illegals get sob stories from the Corrupt media. Meanwhile are citizens die from Illegal Aliens driving drunk, killing people. Or Identity Theft that hurts millions of Americans. But Churches treat Illegals as Saints, and ignore people in their own Backyard! That ACLU sucks! It's one of the reasons the USA is in such a bad place. And Trojan Horses in Gov. to defend Illegals regardless of party. D or R. They all work for the NWO.

Serpico, the ACLU cannot go after the president for signing a law because that is his job. It may not be what you or I agree with, but it is not illegal. They will go after the government when they try to use that law but they have to wait until then for the courts to review it.

The ACLU also protects illegal aliens because that is who's rights are being violated by the CBP and Homeland Security. The only way to protect my rights is to protect yours, and I think that is what the ACLU is trying to do.

If you want to criticize the ACLU, do it for real problems they ignore. Ask them why they do not work to protect our Second Amendment rights. Why do they pick and choose which rights they will defend instead of defending all of them? Of course, they are a private organization and may do as they please, but I cannot support them until they truly defend ALL of our rights, not just the ones they like.

You're both idiots.

KevCopAz @ 5/26/2014 10:23 AM

You have a point Steve, but I do agree that ACLU does not protect anyone other than cases fitting the liberal agenda. The ACLU could sue the Federal Government for NOT enforcing laws (as Obama does when he picks and chooses what are enforced) yet they do not. My rights as an American are violated everyday that our laws against illegal border crossings and especially criminal Aliesns are not enforced. Where is the ACLU and perhaps you too Steve when Obama administration releases over 3o thousand Convicted Criminal Aliens while they await their "hearing" on deportation. I hope you can stand high on your lib soap box when yet another American Peace officer and or a citizen are the victim of a criminal act by a alien when LAWS ARE NOT enforced that should be. ACLU has been proven to be a liberal anti- American organization that NEVER protects real American rights, only the liberal agenda and the rights of the minority. I say that until they protect every Americans rights they of no use

The ACLU are a group of attorneys that have been voted in by the American public and when they win a case the American tax payers pay for their services. We need to vote the ACLU out of our government. The ACLU only has power because the American people gave them the power and now the American people need to take the power back from the ACLU. The ACLU, without the support of the American public is NOTHING.
