VIDEO: Wisconsin Police Shoot Alleged Double-murder Suspect
A neighbor dispute led to 3 people being stabbed and a police shooting in a Madison, Wisc. neighborhood on Friday. Two died and the third is in the hospital. The suspect was killed in a confrontation with police.
A Madison Police statement to WMTV 15 said the department is investigating a double homicide and an attempted homicide, as three adults suffered apparent stab wounds inside a residence in the 2600 block of E. Washington Ave.
Police were called to the address after one victim made it outside and was able to summon help. Officers entering the home came upon a fluid and active scene that involved a knife-wielding suspect.
A police spokesman said there appeared to be some sort of dispute between neighbors but police don't have a clear motive for the stabbings.
Newly appointed Madison police Chief Mike Koval told WISC-TV 3 that due to the new state law about officer-involved shootings, the state Department of Criminal investigations is leading the investigation.
