Baltimore Officer Accused of Shooting Man in Pennsylvania

April 29, 2014  |

A Baltimore City police officer shot a man multiple times in York Township, Pennsylvania, police said Tuesday.

York Area Regional Police Sgt. Jeffry Dunbar told the Baltimore Sun the shooter was wearing a Baltimore police uniform during the incident. Baltimore police spokeswoman Sgt. Sarah Connolly confirmed that the man is an officer and said city police detectives are responding to York Township to be part of the investigation.

The shooting took place outside an apartment complex and the victim did not fire any shots, Dunbar said.

The shooter, whose identity was not released, was one of a number of people who called 911 to report the shooting. He turned himself in upon police's arrival.
