VIDEO: Oklahoma Officer Attacked with Scissors at Traffic Stop

A Fort Gibson, Okla., police officer was stabbed Tuesday night during a traffic stop by a woman walking by with a pair of scissors.

Officer Brent Maddocks stopped an SUV to check for an expired tag. He was going through the normal checks of the Jeep when the driver yelled at the officer.

"At first it just felt like somebody hit me," Maddocks said.

It turned out to be woman on a smoke break outside a nearby warehouse. The woman came up behind Maddocks with scissors, and he was forced to pull out his gun.

Maddocks told News on 6 he made a quick decision not to shoot with a family of four sitting in the jeep in the line of fire. Instead, he deployed his Taser, stunning 26-year-old Jessica Lugo. She was arrested.

What is right with people these days? Assault and obstruction of justice from this pathetic excuse for a woman is not acceptable. I hope she gets what she deserves. This could have turned out very badly had the officer not used his head. I am glad he did. I am sure the family in the Jeep were also thankful.

Where do these psychos come from? These incidents are just so bizarre. I hope they lock Ms. Lugo up for a long time. Assault with a deadly weapon is one thing, but this was a premeditated ambush.
