March 27, 2014
Three Fort Worth, Texas, patrol officers responding to a major traffic accident pulled a driver out of a burning vehicle involved in a crash on Northwest Loop 820 early Thursday.
The vehicle was on fire when the officers freed the trapped motorist and a civilian who was riding along with one of the officers used a fire extinguisher from a patrol car to help put out the blaze, police Capt. Shawn Stone told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
The driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital in unknown condition. No other injuries were reported.
