Federal prosecutors will seek the death penalty against accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, U.S. Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz announced today.

The much-anticipated decision by Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. comes months after Ortiz's office made a top-secret recommendation on whether they would seek capital punishment against Tsarnaev, who authorities say planned and carried out the attack that killed three and injured more than 260 on April 15, the Associated Press reports.

I'm stunned, almost impressed, that Erik`Von With-Holder @ Dept. of Un-Justice is actually signing off on this much needed punishment. I just hope it is pushed through. Feds. tend to execute criminals way quicker than states do. Makes me wonder what took so long to make this decision. Wish they could tape M-80's to his testicles, fingers, toes, ears, & nose setting them off before the final good night is given to him. That way he'd know what it feels like to be blown up.

Bout time eh? Just to save his own a$$.

With all of this death penalty controversy going on in regards to lethal method, I believe that these murderers should be killed in the same way as their victim(s). Blow his ass up with a pressure cooker!

It's ABOUT FREAKIN TIME that people started getting sentences they DESERVE!!! Now if they will just "follow thru" and get rid of this piece of garbage so he can NEVER injure or kill anyone else !!! Way to go FEDS !!! Now just dont bend to any "peer pressure" and let anyone change your minds!

This is just a publicity stunt by Holder and the Obama Administration. Tsarnaev will most likely die of old age or be traded back to Russia for one of our spies.

Really? @ 1/31/2014 8:54 AM

They need to execute him EXPEDIENTLY and STOP wasting the Taxpayers money! If he is still alive in a month, we need to blast Eric Do Nothing Holder's office and demand this guy be eliminated from this earth!

At this point, the only this POS should be given is a blindfold and a cigarette.

Capt. Crunch @ 1/31/2014 10:25 AM

The POS, last meal should be a pork sandwich with a tall glass of Brandy mixed with pig urine and make sure the POS knows what he is eating and drinking.

Thank God!! I've been wondering when this would finally be decided. If death was good enough to obliterate McVeigh off the face of the earth, it's more than good enough for this natural born EVIL killer!! Rot in hell, scumbag.
