One Tupelo, Miss., officer was killed and another was wounded responding to a bank robbery on Tuesday.

Officer Kevin "Gale" Stauffer, 38, was killed during a robbery at BancorpSouth Monday. Officer Joseph Maher, 27, was injured and was at last check in critical condition, WAAY TV reports.

Authorities are looking for a man said to be about 5-feet-9 to 6-feet tall, thin, with light complexion, possibly African-American. He also might be heavily armed. Authorities said he may be injured and may be left-handed.

The suspect—there may have been more than one robber—is still at large. The Associated Press reports that a $162,500 reward is being offered by BancorpSouth and other businesses for information related to the shootings and the robbery.

R.I.P. Brother. I had the opportunity to attend IRTB in New Mexico with Gale. He was a consummate professional, yet knew how to have fun also. I will always remember the laughs we all shared. May God hold him in his hands!

Bankers have robbed the United States citizens of their money. Thought the Federal Reserve. People never asked for TARP or the Bailouts. The people who robbed and killed Gale, should have a bounty on their heads. But what about the CROOKS in DC? As usual the suspect is a Minority of a Projected Class. You can't call a spade a spade or your deemed "racist" by the Radical American Hating Media. Who shelters Illegal Alien Criminals, and spits on the Law Abiding productive members of Society. $162,500 is a penitence compared to the BILLIONS Bush and Obama spent. Giving to Goldman Sachs, and other friends. Meanwhile good people suffer because of tyranny, and the Self Serving narcissists who live in the White House. They can have all the SS protect them, after the damage they've done to the economy. People can die because of Greed and love of money. But the greatest weapon of all is LOVE. Without love for other human beings. There is no future and no past. We are just soulless robots.

I see the same crazed bloggers are blaming the President again. My condolences to the Officers that were only doing their duty, may Officer Stauffer rest in peace and I wish Officer Maher my prayers and a speedy recovery. The reward seems odd at $162,500 dollars it is usually an even number rounded to the nearest thousand.

I saw the news when this first aired. I was suiting up for work, and I just had the hairs on arms and neck rise up. I saw the press speak to Officer Stauffer's wife, and I felt so bad. A father of 2 and a husband, and he is no longer that. They showed still photos of the subjects, and not once did the reporters mention black or white. The subject appeared to be black, so Im thinking to myself well give the description of the subject other than height, weight, and what he was wearing. They never mentioned the race. It's pathetic how they could'nt even mention that. Im a hispanic police officer of 19 years, and a damn proud one. It doesn't matter what race the subjects were. They did it PERIOD. Who cares what color he was. Obviously he's a bad person or persons and needs to be caught and executed. Stop trying to be so goddamn politically correct. It is what it is!!!

seperio is clown, take your cheese and wine and move over to Fox news or CNN blogs you jagoff. As for physical discription, as leos we want as much as possible to look for a cop killer. That includes race, hgt, wgt, scares marks and tatts anything to bring this coward to justice. Light skin means nothing as far as race. Could have been hispanic, mid eastern, or a tan white male. Look at the other key portion of intel. LEFT HANDED SHOOTER.
