Slain suspected Washington Navy Yard gunman Aaron Alexis suffered from "anger management problems" his family feared was linked to participating in rescue attempts of Sept. 11, 2001 victims, according to a police report obtained by the Boston Herald.

Alexis told a Seattle cop in 2004 that he suffered from a "black-out" fueled by anger when he shot out the tires of a construction worker's car, according to a police report.

"He explained how he perceived (the victim) had disrespected him and how that perception lead (sic) to what Alexis described as a 'black-out' fueled by anger. He said he didn't remember pulling the trigger of his firearm until about one hour later," the report says.

What insight! A lunatic that kills and wounds a dozen plus has anger issues! Who would have thought?

My question is, did he shoot any white people? If so, when will the President comment on the fact that a black man shot white people? Did anyone but me notice the shooter was black? Is that something we are not supposed to discuss as it might be inconvenient? Pardon me for bringing it up. I hate to sound racist. I am actually an equal opportunity hater.

God bless those who were there. Like those who were wounded and killed at Fort Hood because of the Democrats like Bill Clinton none were armed and they were American Military. Our own anti-2nd Amendment Government has succeeded in turning American Military bases into SOFT TARGETS because they will not let those trained to protect and defend have the basic tools to repel and attack.

Anger issues? Does a rapist have sex issues, Pedophiles have child issues. Oh please. Will Holder be calling this workplace violence shortly?

Just how did this guy get a clearance? Pathetic.

Marshal Fine @ 9/17/2013 6:09 AM

Oh.. the poor man... had anger issues. I don't know about you guy, but I'm sick to death (hey, that makes me a victim, too !) of these nutbags acting out like this. Stop showing his face and making them famous. That's what they want. I thought DC had some of the strictest anti-gun laws?? How come all the anti-gun cities have such high killing rates?? How'd he get guns when he has a prior gun offense?

Jenann @ 9/17/2013 6:19 AM

"...his family feared was linked to participating in rescue attempts of Sept. 11, 2001 victims, according to a police report..." MY QUESTION IS if they think this is from the "rescue attempts of 9/11/01" was he there? Was he a firefighter, police, military, or just regular person trying to help others out of the building? Did he get any sort of PTSD treatment? Anger issues are a bigger problem these days than people think! Instead of teaching folks how to handle "anger issues" all Drs. do is "dope you up" to help you deal with it. People just need to take responsibility for the things they do and quit blaming everything/everyone else!

Fin-1 @ 9/17/2013 9:49 AM

Maybe his family should blame his anger management issues on his family, or on him. Nope, its much easier and more face saving to blame it on 9-11. Oh, wait, I have an idea. Lets blame it on the guns. Yeah, America will buy all that smoke and mirror stuff. If all else fails, just blame it on racism, that's the failsafe blame deflector.

Capt. Crunch @ 9/17/2013 10:28 AM

They need to do better back ground checks, this idiot should never have been hired. Americans were killed here on a military base and Obama, should make a speech to the American people.

Chuck McKenzie @ 9/17/2013 11:24 AM

Don't worry, Obama did give a speech and has promised to get to the bottom of this, the same as he has done with Bengazi.

Billy @ 9/17/2013 6:23 PM

Once again Obama is using a tragic event to push his personal political agenda of gun control. Then in the same breath he is waiving the rules regarding the arming of terrorists in order to send aid to Syrian rebels...amazing!

will @ 9/18/2013 4:11 AM

Anger issues? I have to agree with Greg. The DC killer is a black man, so the librtal press, and now even Police Mag, calls it "anger issues". Pardon me, If the shooter were a white man, the liberal press would be screaming "white supemacist". Anger issues, are you kidding? Thank you Obama for bringing racial harmony to this country.

Arthur Sweeney @ 10/20/2013 4:32 AM

Shameful.

Arthur Sweeney @ 10/20/2013 4:33 AM

Why the sympathy?
