N.H. Medical Marijuana Law Bans Home Grow

July 25, 2013  |

New Hampshire became the nineteenth state in the nation to approve the use of medical marijuana for the terminally and chronically ill when Gov. Maggie Hassan signed House Bill 573 into law on Tuesday.

Under the law, patients must purchase their medical marijuana from one of four regional dispensaries. The law also prohibits the growing of plants at home, reports the Union Leader.

The state's Department of Health and Human Services will set up the dispensaries, which could take about two years.
